Responsibilities:
Onboarding Period:
- Shadow team members to familiarize yourself with our processes, platforms, and tasks.
- Utilize recorded sessions and tutorials to gain proficiency in Harmony in Numbers workflow processes and project management software.
Initial Tasks:
- Perform monthly account reconciliations for banks accounts, credit cards, loans and balance sheet accounts with a focus on accuracy and reliability of balances.
- Investigate any contra balances and make all necessary adjustments to ensure reliability in financial reporting.
- Collaborate with team members on transactions involving related entities.
- Review previous entries from former bookkeepers and accountants for accuracy and correctness.
- Assist with clean-up tasks including book-to-tax reconciliations, reconciliation of undeposited funds, sales tax, and payroll liabilities.
- Reconciliation of income from third party applications with Quickbooks.
- Adding fixed asset purchase journal entry transactions.
Ongoing tasks:
- Continue monthly reconciliations and journal entries for assigned clients, prioritizing as necessary
- Communicate effectively with team members to address any questions or concerns.
- Participate in regular team meetings to discuss client progress and updates, fostering a team environment filled with collaboration.
- Record journal entries for prepaid expenses and property purchases while maintaining high levels of accuracy. Ensure all proper documentation is attached for backup verification.
- Proactively seek opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency for our clients.
Requirements:
- Degree in Accounting or relevant work experience required.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is required, QuickBooks Pro Advisor certification a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written to facilitate collaboration with team and clients.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
- Reliable internet connection and access to necessary software and tools.
