Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to manage our clients’ financial records and ensure the accuracy of the accounting processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and be proficient in QuickBooks Online. This role requires a proactive individual who can handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy. This is a contract-to-hire to a full-time employment after 90 days.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain accurate journal entries to record all financial transactions.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure that all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Utilize QuickBooks Online to manage financial data effectively.
- Prepare monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Conduct technical accounting tasks, including double entry bookkeeping.
- Assist in the development of budgets and forecasts based on financial data analysis.
- Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
- Stay updated on financial regulations and best practices to ensure compliance.
- Assist with clean-up tasks including book-to-tax reconciliations, reconciliation of undeposited funds, sales tax, payroll liabilities, and other balance sheet accounts.
- Reconciliation of income from third party applications with QuickBooks.
- Add fixed asset purchase journal entry transactions.
- Record journal entries for prepaid expenses and property purchases while maintaining high levels of accuracy. Ensure all proper documentation is attached for backup verification.
- Export data from external applications and create journal entries for import into QuickBoooks Online.
- Participate in regular weekly team meetings.
- Proactively seek opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency for our clients.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role for a minimum of 10 years.
- A Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
- Strong knowledge of financial concepts, accounting principles, and practices.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is required. QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor certification is a plus.
- Proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- High Integrity.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Access to a dependable computer capable of handling various platforms at once with a reliable internet connection
- Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance requirements is preferred.
Experience:
- Microsoft Excel: 7 years (Preferred)
- Bookkeeping: 10 years (Required)
License/Certification:
- QuickBooks ProAdvisor Certification (Preferred)
